Tiny Bunker was designed and built with a vision for simple yet comfortable living that supports a deep connection with nature and the planet's smaller footprints. The carefully designed 160-square-foot Tiny Bunker makes the most of every inch and lacks nothing.
Tiny Bunker in Todd - With a small interior footprint, most of the space is dedicated to two truly magical outdoor areas. The outdoor main deck features a hot tub, dining area, fire pit and seating area to relax and enjoy nature. The second deck takes you further among the trees, highlighting the winter views of the mountains. Read a good book, take a nap or enjoy the view of the trees while relaxing on the outdoor patio furniture on the second deck. You can expect to see birds, deer and other wildlife while enjoying the outdoors.
The Tiny Bunker itself is built with all the essentials and packed into a cozy, comfortable and retreat-like space. With an emphasis on sustainability, the Cabin is powered by a nearby community solar garden and guests can reduce waste by recycling and composting on site. High ceilings, fully equipped kitchens, quirky upscale bathrooms, convertible work/dining areas and comfortable sleeping areas with comfortable linens are some of the features. Log in to your video streaming account and enjoy movies while relaxing after a long day of browsing. A full coffee and tea bar, along with luxury shampoo/soap are just a few of the other amenities provided.
LOCATION: The Tiny Bunker is located on a plot of land of approximately 3 acres with 2 other small houses which can be booked separately or, subject to availability, can be rented together. We emphasize privacy and have arranged each home to maximize guest isolation and minimize the visibility of the properties from one another. We include scenic photos of other properties in each listing so guests can feel good visibility/seclusion. Also of note, Tiny Bunker is located near NC 194, a lightly paved road with occasional traffic. Guests should be aware that they will hear the occasional car passing by.
ACCESSIBILITY: To reach the Little Bunker, you'll need to cross 150 gravel roads that meander to your little destination. We've never had guests unable to make their way through the driveway, but in the case of a major storm, there's a pullout across the street from the driveway where guests can park and walk the short driveway.
PARKING: You will have one dedicated parking space for you to use during your stay. We may be able to accommodate a second vehicle and request that you request it from us prior to your arrival. If you're going to be towing a trailer, you can park it across the street in a big tow.
Whatever you want, you will find it near you. Todd's historic town center is just a 10-minute drive away, where you'll find live music in the summer, the famous Todd Mercantile and locals and tourists alike. RiverGirl Fishing Company and New River are also located in downtown Todd and offer fishing, cycling, kayaking and tubing activities. Just a 17-minute drive from the cabin is Elk Knob State Park with miles of hiking, biking, jogging, exploring, and stunning views above. Appalachian Ski Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway, ziplining, golf, hunting and countless hiking trails can be reached within 30 minutes from the property. Grandfather Mountain, more hiking trails and countless wineries are within an hour's drive. It truly is the best of both worlds with easily accessible city life and nature.
