The Epson L3150 is part of the EcoTank printer range that uses inkjet technology to print documents. The term EcoTank refers to a cartridgeless printer that uses a tank as a reservoir to dispense ink.
For easy printing, this 3.9 kg printer uses a print head with piezoelectric material as part of its component. When an electrical charge is applied, these materials react, and the reaction forces ink out of tiny holes in the print head.
Advantages of the Epson L3150 Printer
The tiny holes in the printhead are called nozzles, and printheads typically have hundreds of nozzles that eject tiny droplets of ink. The Epson L3150 printer has 180 nozzles for black and 59 nozzles for each of the colors magenta, cyan, and yellow.
A large number of nozzles also determines the speed of the printer when printing documents. In draft mode, the Epson L3150 printer can print approximately 33 monochrome pages per minute and 15 color pages per minute. Print speeds can reach 10 ipm in black and white and 5 ipm in color when measured according to ISO 2473.
Still related to the speed of the Epson L3150 printer is the time from the ready state to the first page coming out of the printer. For black and white prints, the time is approximately 10 seconds. Color printing takes about 16 seconds. The speed of the first page is important, so it doesn't affect the efficiency of work in an office environment.
The smallest drop of ink that can be removed by each nozzle of the Epson L3150 print head is 3 picoliters. This feature is important to know, as it is one of the main factors in determining good print quality. The smaller the ink droplet size, the better the print quality.
Apart from printing documents, the Epson L3150 also has the ability to scan documents. The flatbed scanner built into it has a scanning area of 216 x 297 mm and can produce output with an optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi.

The Epson L3150 also has a copier for making copies of documents. In principle, it is the same as a copier, but it is more common to call it a copier or copier overseas.
